The Via Dinarica project today celebrates those who make our mountains safe, and these are the rescue teams of the mountain rescue services. UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina is developing a regional outdoor tourist destination - Via Dinarica. An important aspect of this destination is human sefety. Mountain rescue teams do what other emergency services simply cannot. Their work and commitment are amazing. Moreover, they do so voluntarily. Their skills and knowledge can save your life when you are unavailable to any other emergency service. That is why they are so important for safety on the Via Dinarica trails. On this day, through the Via Dinarica project, we awarded the equipment necessary for safety on the trails to the Mountain Rescue Service of Republika Srpska, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association of Mountain Rescue Services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thank you for securing our trails!
The Via Dinarica project is implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH), with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID BiH) and the Agency for Development Cooperation of the Republic of Italy (AICS).
