Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its more than 70 peaks over 2,000 meters high, now has a special place on the map of summer destinations. In its latest report, the Times highlighted Via Dinarica as one of the ten most desirable locations for a mountain holiday in Europe.
The spectacular Sutjeska National Park, with the highest peak Maglić at 2,386 meters, is the key point of this route that stretches through the Bosnian part of the Via Dinarica. The recommended route includes Sarajevo and Mostar with the surrounding mountains, and locations in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia.
This adventure requires six to eight hours of walking each of the nine days, covering fifty kilometers of the route.
In addition, the recommendation to visit Dubrovnik additionally completes this unforgettable mountain experience.
