FOR A NIGHT UNDER THE STARS
When traveling from Sarajevo to Konjic, you can take the excellent highway, but for a true adventure and surreal landscapes, we recommend another route — over Mount Visočica. You’re sure to enjoy it and might even plan your next trip there.

This first neighbor of Mount Bjelašnica, enveloped by rivers on all sides, may not showcase the highest peaks of our country or be cloaked in dense forests. Nevertheless, hikers cherish it for its numerous meadows, striking peaks, necropolises of stećci, and encounters with wild horses. The River Ljuta separates it from Mount Treskavica, the Rakitnica Canyon and Tušilački Stream separate it from Mount Bjelašnica, and the Neretva River separates it from Prenj.
NeNot far from Puzim Peak, a recognizable symbol of Visočica, Jelenjača Lake forms during heavy rainfall. Along the trail that traverses the ridge between Đetelaš and Parić peaks, a photo frame is set up with a beautiful panoramic view.

Mountain enthusiasts have built a shelter for themselves and other hikers — the Zoran Šimić Bivouac. It is located in a secluded part of the mountain, by one of Europe’s deepest canyons, with an impressive view of the landscape. It has been included in the prestigious list of the world’s top architectural achievements, in the category of remote retreats, compiled by the esteemed architectural magazine DesignBoom. Besides the bivouac, Visočica offers options for overnight stays or relaxation in the Mountain Lodge “Vrela” Tušila, between the villages Pervizi and Sinanovići.
Visočica attracts a considerable crowd of nature lovers and photographers during the summer for the Astrophotography Festival. Participants socialize, meditate, observe, and capture the Milky Way, sunrise, golden and blue hours.
